Smriti Mandhana didn’t get support from the other batters, slams a magnificent century in the third ODI against Australia Women’s National Cricket Team
Mandhana lost her opening partner, Richa Ghosh, earlier, but she made sure that she made up for that. She put the Australia Women’s National Cricket Team under pressure and, along with Harleen Deol (39), added a 118-run partnership for the second wicket.
However, after that, Mandhana didn’t get support from the other batter as India kept losing wickets at regular intervals. But she made sure that she stayed tall there for the team and kept them in the hunt while chasing the massive target of 299 runs in the third match.
Mandhana notched up a magnificent century and registered her 9th ODI ton. She has the most number of ODI tons in the Women’s cricket for the India National Cricket Team. The batter recently surpassed Mithali Raj, who in her career slammed 7 tons in the ODI cricket.
She has also become the first cricketer in the history of Women’s cricket to hit 4 ODI tons in a calendar year.

However, Mandhana couldn’t convert her ton into a big one as right after her century, she was back in the hut. She was removed by Ashleigh Gardner. With her wicket, the hopes of the Indian team ended as well as they lost their 4th wicket.
Ashleigh Gardner bowled a delivery that was drifting in from around the wicket. Smriti Mandhana looked to push through the line but the ball seemed to cut back in sharply off the pitch. It went past the inside edge, hit the pad, and crashed into the stumps.
