Everyone Can Play Netflix’s Squid Game: Unleashed for Free Next Week

Netflix announced Thursday at The Game Awards that anyone can play Squid Game: Unleashed for a limited time when it launches on Dec. 17. You can pre-register for the game now.

“We’re inviting everyone into the chaos this holiday season,” Alain Tascan, president of games at Netflix, said in a news release. “Squid Game is Netflix’s most-watched series ever, and we want everyone around the world to be able to take part in its return by making Unleashed available to everyone.”

The battle royale mobile game is based on the popular Netflix series, and it drops players into iconic games from the show, like Red Light, Green Light and Glass Bridge.

Netflix has not said how long non-subscribers will be able to play the game after its launch.

Whether or not you subscribe to Netflix (which starts at $7 a month), you can play this game without ads or in-app purchases at no charge on your iOS or Android device. If you do subscribe to Netflix, you can play this game and many others, like Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.

For more on Netflix Games, here are other games you can find on the service. You can also check out new games on Game Pass and Apple Arcade.
