Virat Kohli cancels Rohit Sharma’s tactics for Mohammed Siraj; pacer gets Steve Smith’s wicket


Rohit Sharma’s performance, both as a batter and captain in the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25, is not hidden from anyone. As India has found itself in a crunching situation, Virat Kohli stepped up to help Rohit Sharma in the ongoing third Test against Australia at The Gabba, Brisbane.

The Australian cricket team was aiming to pile up some quick runs, but the Indian bowlers didn’t allow that, rather taking quick wickets on Day 5 of the ongoing third Test at The Gabba. Well, during the thrilling session, it was Virat Kohli’s gesture that caught the attention of one and all.

Actually, the former Indian captain was seen helping the clueless Rohit Sharma in strategizing Steve Smith’s wicket. As Rohit and Mohammed Siraj were planning for Smith, Kohli himself approached the duo and shared the plot, and the Australian batter got caught in it at The Gabba.

Later, Mohammed Siraj delivered a good-length ball angled in, sliding down the leg side as Steve Smith shuffled across to glance it fine. Unfortunately, the right-hander got a faint edge, and the ball went down the leg side.

Showcasing excellent reflexes, Indian keeper Rishabh Pant dived full length to his left to take a stunning catch as the ball kept moving away with the angle. Siraj was pumped up after taking the big wicket, as Smith departed for 4 off 5 balls, and Australia found themselves in deep trouble, losing half their side for just 33 runs at that moment against India in the Gabba Test.
