Rocky Flintoff Selected For England’s Lion Tour
16-year-old Rocky Flintoff, has been named in England Lions’ squad for their January tour of Australia. He has earned a significant platform in his career rise. Under the leadership of Andrew Flintoff, he has been added in the squad, who is the father of Rocky Flintoff.
He has played exceptionally well in his debut for England U-19 and his first class performances with Lancashire. He has also featured in the South Africa tour and now he is ready to gain invaluable experience in Australia.
Shoaib Bashir And Tom Hartley Eyes Ashes Preparation
Shoaib Bashir has been England’s primary Test spinner in 2024. Bashir, has been mentored by former Ashes-winning spinner Graeme Swann. Bashir will play three fixtures including an unofficial Test against Australia A. Lancashire’s Tom Hartley is also a Test experience spinner. He has also joined the squad for the Australia series.
Josh Tongue Return From Injury
Fast bowler Josh Tongue is going to make a notable comeback after prolonged injury setbacks. Tongue has impressed the selectors with his Test performance in 2023. He was joined by young pacer John Turner and Sam Cook.
England Men’s Performance Director Ed Barney has highlighted the significance of the tour and said “We have rewarded proven performers and emerging talents. Tours like this are crucial for development and preparation.”
