Alexis Bellino Breathes Easy as Fiancé John Janssen Ends Messy Legal Battle with Shannon Beador!
Alexis Bellino is breathing a sigh of relief now that her fiancé, John Janssen, has settled his legal battle with his ex, Real Housewives of Orange County star Shannon Beador.
A source close to Alexis told Page Six that The Real Housewives of Orange County alum is ready to move past the ordeal and focus on her future with Janssen.
Moving Past the Drama
“Alexis is relieved to put this entire ordeal behind them,” the insider shares, referencing Janssen’s lawsuit against Beador over a $75,000 loan he claimed she failed to repay. “She never wanted this situation with Shannon and John to come between them, and she’s glad they can just close this chapter and put it in the past.”
The legal drama began in March when John Janssen filed a lawsuit in Orange County Superior Court, accusing Shannon of breaching an oral contract and committing promissory fraud. John alleged that he lent her $40,000 via wire transfer in January 2022 for a facelift, followed by another $35,000 via personal check in May 2023. He claimed the pair had agreed she would repay the loan with interest, but after repeated requests went unanswered, he turned to legal action.

Focused on the Future
For Alexis, the settlement couldn’t have come at a better time. The couple, who got engaged in August after nine months of dating, is now turning their attention to planning their wedding.
“Alexis is focused on her engagement with John and moving forward with their lives,” the insider reveals. “She is happier than she’s ever been and is grateful they can all move on.”
Alexis‘ desire to leave the drama behind reflects her commitment to starting fresh. “All Alexis ever wanted was to move forward,” the source adds.
Beador’s Perspective on the Lawsuit
Shannon, for her part, maintained that the money John lent her was a gift. In a written statement to *People*, she expressed her dismay over the lawsuit.
“I am shocked and disappointed that John has filed a lawsuit,” Shannon said at the time. “My attorney has been in constant communication with his counsel. I agreed to pay John what he wanted because I knew that attorneys’ fees would surpass the amount sought, but more importantly, to eliminate the negative emotional components that come with a lawsuit.”
She further explained that her efforts to resolve the situation were hindered by John’s refusal to sign a mutual non-disparagement agreement. “I was hoping that if I met his baseless demand, we could at least use this as an opportunity to bring complete closure to this chapter in my life,” she added.
A “Smart Decision”
After the case was settled, Shannon’s attorney, Dave Beitchman, praised her decision to move forward. “Shannon made an incredibly smart emotional and financial decision in deciding to settle this case,” he told Page Six.
While Beitchman expressed confidence in Shannon’s ability to prevail in court, he acknowledged that the cost of defending the case would have outweighed the amount at stake. “While she was certainly prepared to fight for the truth, I congratulate her in taking the high road and putting this matter behind her,” he said, calling the lawsuit’s “premise” shameful.
History Between Janssen and Beador
John and Shannon dated for nearly four years before their breakup in 2023. Shortly after their split, Janssen began dating Alexis, who re-entered the RHOC universe and reignited tensions with Shannon.
With the lawsuit settled and wedding plans underway, Alexis and John appear ready to move on from the drama. For Alexis, it’s a chance to start a new chapter — free from the shadows of the past.
