Jaker Ali has not only made the headlines for his stunning batting but also for his sportsmanship, but at the same time, for his frustration during the third and final T20I match between Bangladesh and West Indies at the Arnos Vale Stadium in Kingstown, St. Vincent.
Well, run-outs can sometimes create funny situations, often caused by confusion, miscommunication, or just bad luck on the field, but it is quite rare that a batter returns to the field after being run out. This unusual event took place during the third T20I in Kingstown, and Jaker was part of this rarest thing on Friday (December 20).

After hitting a shot to mid-wicket, West Indies bowler Obed McCoy dived for a catch but injured his shoulder. Although Jaker and Shamim Hossain completed two runs, and they had the chance to get one more run, Ali decided not to run for the third when he saw McCoy was hurt.
His gesture was praised by commentators and fans for showing excellent sportsmanship. And then in the very next over, Ali was seen venting out his frustration after a bizarre mix-up with Shamim. During the 15th over of the match, Roston Chase delivered a flat ball around the off stump.

Jaker Ali pushed the ball gently to the onside and quickly sprinted for a couple of runs. However, while Ali was returning for the second run, his partner Shamim Hossain got distracted and kept watching the ball.
Sensing the great opportunity, West Indies’ wicketkeeper Nicholas Pooran quickly sprinted toward the square leg region and made an accurate throw to Roston Chase at the non-striker’s end. Chase completed the run-out at the non-striker’s end with Shamim and Ali both reaching the same end.
Initially, it appeared that Jaker Ali was the one dismissed, and he was visibly frustrated with the turn of events. He was seen expressing his anger and unhappiness about the situation. However, after reviewing the replay, it was clear that Shamim Hossain’s bat was outside the crease and in the air while Jaker had just managed to ground his bat in time.
