With the new year quickly approaching, Us turned to world-renowned astrologer Susan Miller to get the forecast for Sagittarius, the ninth zodiac sign.
In the latest issue of Us Weekly, on stands now, Miller exclusively reveals her predictions for famous Sagittariuses like Brad Pitt and Miley Cyrus. Pitt, born December 18, 1963, has a moon, Mars, Mercury and Venus in Capricorn, making him “prominent and careful,” says Miller. The actor has a few projects coming up, but having Jupiter in his house of joint finances means he’d be wise to focus on investments. Miller adds, “He might want to put more money in real estate.”
Cyrus, for her part, was born November 23, 1992 and has Saturn in the house of fame and honors, so her career is “going the distance,” Miller tells Us. “We’ll hear about her for decades to come.” With her moon in Scorpio, the financially savvy singer should strike while the iron is hot. “It’s time for her to do a world tour,” Miller says.
Fellow Sagittarius Nicki Minaj, born December 8, 1982, “was born for public life,” says Miller, who notes the rapper has multiple heavenly bodies in Sagittarius and can “span interest in her work across the globe in a way many can’t.” That’s not to say it’s been easy, but with her moon in Virgo, “she’s willing to burn the midnight oil to reach goals.”

What Sagittariuses Are Really Like
Those born between November 23 and December 21 are naturally “curious, intellectual and constantly looking for the deeper meanings of life,” Miller tells Us, noting that the zodiac sign is one of just two recognized to be philosophers. “They’re known to embody the Greek ideal of strong mind, strong body and spirit, to feel you have to have all three in balance to live the best life,” Miller adds. Sagittariuses also need travel “like oxygen,” according to Miller, who says, “They feel it’s one of the best ways to learn about the world through being exposed to various cultures firsthand.”
Relationships
The sign’s seventh house — which symbolizes all kinds of partnerships — “is a contractual house and includes the promise of marriage. Jupiter, their ruler, has been in their seventh house since May 2024, and Jupiter will remain there until June 9, 2025,” the astrologer says. “It’s a fantastic time to tie the knot.” Sagittariuses “can also forge very profitable, sustained business relationships,” while making a meaningful impact by working one-on-one with others.

Sagittariuses should prioritize their personal lives right now, Miller says — but if you’ve been dragging your feet on sealing the deal when it involves romance, you’re not alone. “They take their time in deciding whether they want to get married,” the astrologer shares. “If they feel they’ll be pinned down, it will cause them to hesitate to commit or even leave.” Keep your heart open. At this time, Sagittariuses “have the finest aspects for marriage on the planet.”

What to Watch For
In the beginning of 2025, Mars will go back and forth in Cancer, which highlights an interest in money. As such, “Sagittarius will be very focused on finances and want to get them in shape,” Miller says, noting there’s no need to be afraid of the “many changes” that are taking place now — in fact, you’d be wise to embrace them! “Whatever Sagittarius is going to do in the beginning of 2025 concerning money will pay off,” she shares. “[From] June 9 until the following July 2026, they’ll see more money come in than they’ve seen in over a decade.”
2025’s Luckiest Signs
Geminis and Cancers can consider themselves “golden” throughout 2025, Miller explains. With Jupiter — which goes into one zodiac sign to spend an entire year every 12 years — having entered Gemini last May 24. Those born between May 21 to June 21 have had the perfect opportunity to embrace a different perspective. “Gemini is starting an entirely new cycle, marking a new beginning and a new way of seeing themselves, their talents and their potential,” she shares. Then, on June 9, 2025, Jupiter will leave Gemini and enter Cancer — governing those born between June 22 and July 22 — giving Cancer their turn at being crowned celestial favorite, until Jupiter heads to Leo on June 20, 2026. For now, Gemini and Cancer have so much to look forward to in the New Year!
