Match Preview
Celtic have the chance to enhance their top-eight claims in the revamped Champions League tomorrow night when they host Club Brugge at Parkhead.
Brendan Rodgers was heavily criticised for his approach following the 7-1 defeat at Borussia Dortmund on Matchday Two but his team have responded with two excellent results – a goalless draw at free-scoring Atalanta and a 3-1 win over RB Leipzig – to climb to 15th in the table.
And with games against Dinamo Zagreb and Young Boys to come, the Glasgow giants will be confident of clinching an automatic place in the round of 16.
That’s not to say Club Brugge can be underestimated, though. They beat Aston Villa last time out and also won at Sturm Graz last month.
Both teams come into the game on the back of resounding domestic wins. Celtic won 4-1 at Hearts while Club Brugge hammered Sint-Truiden 7-0 in the Belgian First Division A.
