Clayface
Variety reports a Clayface movie is now officially in development at DC Studios with Mike Flanagan attached to write. Filming is expected to begin sometime next year.
Autopsy Room Four
Deadline reports a film based on Stephen King’s short story Autopsy Room Four is now in development with Ranjeet S. Marwa attached to direct. The story concerns “a man who, after a life-threatening accident, wakes up to find himself trapped in an autopsy room. As he confronts his own mortality, the story navigates themes of fear, survival, and the unknown.”
The Ugly Stepsister
Bloody-Disgusting has word Shudder has acquired the rights to The Ugly Stepsister, a Cinderella horror film from director Emilie Blichfeldt. Starring Lea Myren, Thea Sofie Loch Næss, and Ane Dahl Torp, the story concerns “Elvira as she prepares to earn the prince’s affection at any cost. In a kingdom where beauty is a brutal business, Elvira will compete with the beautiful and enchanting Agnes to become the belle of the ball.”
The Ritual
Bloody-Disgusting also has a poster for The Ritual, a horror film starring Al Pacino, Dan Stevens and Ashley Greene concerning “two priests — one questioning his faith (Stevens) and one reckoning with a troubled past (Pacino) — who must put aside their differences to save a possessed young woman through a difficult and dangerous series of exorcisms.”
Neverland Nightmare
Peter Pan joins the “Poohniverse” in the trailer for Neverland Nightmare, coming to theaters January 13.
The Wheel of Time
TV Line reports Shohreh Aghdashloo has joined the cast of The Wheel of Time‘s third season as Elaida do Avriny a’Roihan “a ruthlessly powerful Aes Sedai of the Red Ajah, as proficient in politicking as she is in channeling. She has a deep history with Moiraine (Pike) and Siuan (Sophie Okonedo), and scores to settle with both of them when she returns to the White Tower.”
Daredevil: Born Again
Finally, TV Line has a new image of Matt Murdock as he appears in Daredevil: Born Again. The TV-MA series is expected to premiere this March 4 on Disney+.
