‘Devastated’ Mitchell Starc refuses to leave field as rain halts play again in Brisbane


Rain and the Gabba Test are going hand in hand, and it seems that no one is more frustrated by the poor weather than Mitchell Starc in the ongoing third Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 in Brisbane.

The rain is playing hide and seek in Brisbane, and players are just disappointed. After Rishabh Pant’s wicket, Mitchell Starc was looking to capitalize on the momentum, but yet again, the showers hit the Gabba, and the match officials had to stop the play.

Mitchell Starc’s frustration peaks as rain delays play in Gabba Test

As the umpires signaled for the rain break, Starc looked dejected and refused to leave the field. As the rain delayed the Day 3 play yet again and the ground staff started covering the pitch, Mitchell Starc was seen standing right at his spot and was seen expressing his frustration.

The Australian pacer left his arms and upper body hanging loose, showing how he was dejected by the rain delays.
