Jasprit Bumrah said at the press conference, “We have had a conversation. He had with me before we came here. In this game, he had a niggle. He kept bowling; he knew the team would be under pressure without him.”

Notably, during the 37th over of Australia’s first innings, Mohammed Siraj experienced discomfort in his hamstring after delivering the second ball and immediately called for the physio. After a few minutes, Siraj left the field, and Rohit Sharma handed the ball to Akash Deep to finish the over.

However, to the relief of the Indian cricket team, Siraj returned to the field shortly before the first session on Sunday concluded at The Gabba. However, he did not bowl again before lunch was called but returned with the ball later in the game and finished with two wickets in the first innings.
