New Zealand National Cricket Team batter Kane Williamson looked in decent touch with the bat in the ongoing third Test against the England National Cricket Team. However, it wasn’t a fruitful ending for him in the first innings as he got dismissed in an unlucky way.
The third and final Test of the series between the New Zealand National Cricket Team and the England National Cricket Team commenced on Saturday (14th December). The dead rubber between the teams is taking place at Seddon Park in Hamilton. The series has already been bagged by the Ben Stokes-led side after their two dominating performances in the first two games.
The New Zealand National Cricket Team were asked to bat first, and they had a great start to their innings. After the 105-run opening partnership between skipper Tom Latham (63) and Will Young (42), it was Kane Williamson, who walked out to bat at No.3 and took the charge.
Kane Williamson looked extremely solid with the bat before Matthew Potts sent him packing after a valiant start
Williamson looked extremely solid with the bat and played some magical shots in his innings. With conditions for batting being good and with the way he was playing, it was almost certain that he would go on to get a big score for his team and put them in a dominating position.
Williamson looked pleasing to the eyes as he played some gorgeous drives and looked in solid touch. His stay at the crease was cut short by Matthew Potts, but it’s fair to say that it was an unusual way to bag the dismissal, and the frustration was visible on his face.
Matthew Potts bowled a length ball angling onto the off stump, to which Kane Williamson defended it right under his eyes. The ball bounced and wriggled back towards the stumps. The batter realized that the ball was heading towards the stumps, and he attempted to stop it.
Kane Williamson tried to kick the ball away but the ball was faster than him and went onto the stumps. What caught the attention of many was his reaction after he got out. The batter looked absolutely furious and livid with the way he was back in the hut.
