Kelly Rizzo is certain that her late husband, Bob Saget, would approve of her new relationship with Clueless star Breckin Meyer.

“People have said, ‘I think Bob sent you Breckin,’” Rizzo, 45, exclusively told Us Weekly at the 11th Annual American Reality Television Awards on Monday, November 18. “The funny thing is that when [Bob and I] were together, the thought of me talking to somebody else, he would have lost his mind. But, I distinguish between heavenly Bob and earthly Bob.”

She added, “Earthly Bob would have been like, ‘How dare you?’ Heavenly Bob wants me to be happy. I feel, like, if he could have picked anyone for me, it would have been Breckin because he really respected Breckin a lot and really liked him a lot and they really liked each other.”

Rizzo married Saget in 2018 after nearly three years together. The Full House alum died in January 2022 at the age of 65 and is survived by Rizzo and his three daughters from a previous relationship.

Kelly Rizzo has found healing in her new relationship with actor Breckin Meyer. Bob Saget’s widow revealed to E! “I have been so grateful for meeting Breckin and I knew he was very special from Day 1 just because he made me feel so accepted and safe and seen with everything about Bob,” Rizzo gushed to Us during the awards ceremony, which was held at the Avalon Hollywood. “He always wanted to talk about Bob; he let me talk about Bob. I never felt like he was uncomfortable with it because he wasn’t. He was just wonderful.”

Rizzo counts herself particularly lucky that she connected with Meyer so quickly, dodging the “awful” dating scene.

“[I was glad to] just be able to find someone kind of right off the bat that is just so kind, lovely and wonderful,” Rizzo said. “I’m just so grateful for him every day and because I know how incredibly precious life is, [which is] something I tell them every single day: ‘I am so grateful for you.’”

Rizzo, a lifestyle blogger-turned-reality-personality, also learned more about how precious life is when she competed on season 2 of Fox’s Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test.

It was insane. I rewatched it today, my final moments on the show, and I teared up again,” Rizzo said, adding it “1,000 percent” changed her life. “I would do it again in a heartbeat.”

The 11th Annual American Reality Television Awards airs on Roku Channel, Pluto TV and Xumo Friday, November 29.
