Man Utd lineup to face Man City ‘leaked’ ahead of Manchester derby

Manchester United’s ongoing battle against team news leaks may have reached a critical level after Ruben Amorim’s entire starting lineup for Sunday’s clash with Manchester City allegedly found its way online.

Former managers Jose Mourinho, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Erik ten Hag all found themselves battling against a dressing room leak and fan frustrations have escalated recently as part of a search to find the person responsible.

The search will have to wait until after Sunday’s Manchester derby, for which City may have received a huge boost as Manchester Evening News journalist Samuel Luckhurst took to social media to publicise what was claimed to be United’s starting lineup for the derby.

The alleged lineup sees Andre Onana shielded by a back three of Harry Maguire, Matthijs de Ligt and Lisandro Martinez, with Noussair Mazraoui and Diogo Dalot starting as wing-backs.

In midfield, Bruno Fernandes retains his deep role alongside Manuel Ugarte. Amad Diallo and Mason Mount support Rasmus Hojlund at the top of United’s team sheet.

Whether Amorim will indeed opt for such a lineup will only be confirmed shortly before the game begins, but there will undoubtedly be further questions asked about the source of all the leaks behind the scenes.

Many on social media have accused Alejandro Garnacho’s brother of being behind the leaks, claiming most of the secrets come out when the Argentina international is left out of the starting lineup, but he has laughed off the allegations.
