Mexico stocks lower at close of trade; S&P/BMV IPC down 0.27% By Investing.com



Investing.com – Mexico stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Mexico, the lost 0.27%.

The best performers of the session on the were Qualitas Controladora, SAB De CV (BMV:), which rose 2.92% or 4.85 points to trade at 171.20 at the close. Meanwhile, Gentera SAB de CV (BMV:) added 2.69% or 0.64 points to end at 24.46 and Grupo Elektra , S.A.B. De C.V. (BMV:) was up 2.51% or 8.36 points to 342.06 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Alsea , S.A.B. De C.V. (BMV:), which fell 3.05% or 1.37 points to trade at 43.51 at the close. Grupo Financiero Inbursa , SAB De CV (BMV:) declined 1.64% or 0.72 points to end at 43.22 and Grupo Financiero Banorte (BMV:) was down 1.55% or 2.13 points to 135.68.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.

Gold Futures for February delivery was unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to $2,633.50 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February fell 0.09% or 0.06 to hit $70.10 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract rose 1.24% or 0.90 to trade at $73.22 a barrel.

USD/MXN was up 0.07% to 20.16, while EUR/MXN rose 0.15% to 20.98.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.18% at 108.00.
