Rachel Leviss Speaks Out After James Kennedy’s Arrest for Domestic Violence
Rachel Leviss is speaking out after her ex-fiancé, James Kennedy, was arrested for alleged domestic violence.
The DJ was arrested on December 10, following an alleged domestic violence incident. After attending Kathy Hilton’s Christmas party with girlfriend Ally Lewber, the couple returned home, where an altercation reportedly took place.
Burbank police responded to the scene after a witness claimed James had been arguing with an unidentified woman and allegedly grabbed her. There were no visible injuries, and it is unclear if the woman involved was Ally. James was arrested on misdemeanor domestic violence charges. He posted a $20,000 bail and was released, though additional charges could be forthcoming.
Rachel Leviss, his former fiancée, has issued a response through her attorneys, Bryan Freedman and Mark Geragos. In a statement to Daily Mail, they expressed their awareness of Kennedy’s arrest, describing the news as “unfortunately, not surprising.”
The attorneys went on to say, “Rachel’s lawsuit describes, in significant detail, Mr. Kennedy’s long history of erratic, violent behavior and substance abuse.”
Rachel previously accused Kennedy of violent outbursts, substance abuse, and emotional dysregulation in a lawsuit against her ex-lover Tom Sandoval and his former girlfriend, Ariana Madix.
The legal documents outlined that James was “prone to violent outbursts” and had a history of “substance abuse issues and emotional dysregulation.” According to Rachel, James would often “regularly berate” her, accuse her of infidelity, and behave in an “unhinged manner.”
The lawsuit also detailed an incident during a Thanksgiving visit to Arizona, where Rachel alleged that James argued with her parents and “kicked her dog four times.” Leviss ended their relationship in 2021, citing Kennedy’s “violent and dangerous behavior,” which was reportedly well-known by Bravo and other industry figures.
