Former Pakistan National Cricket Team skipper Ramiz Raja made a bizarre statement on Shaheen Afridi during the second T20I between the South Africa National Cricket Team and the Mohammad Rizwan-led side. The game between the two teams took place at the Supersport Park in Centurion on Friday (13th December).
Pakistan National Cricket Team yet again had a poor outing with the ball as they failed to defend the target and went on to lose the game by 7 wickets. Not only this, they also suffered a series defeat as the South Africa National Cricket Team took an unassailable lead of 2-0.
The bowling failure was one of the main reasons why the Pakistan National Cricket Team went on to lose the game. Shaheen Afridi, in particular, looked torrid with the ball as he failed to get going and couldn’t pick a single wicket for the team in what was a series decider for them.

Shaheen Afridi was taken to the cleaners by South African batters as he failed to make a mark with the new ball. The fast bowler couldn’t put pressure on the opposition and his failure with the ball was one of the biggest reasons why Pakistan failed to defend the total of 206 runs.
To worsen the case for him, Shaheen Afridi also faced a massive injury scare during the match as well. In the 17th over of the second innings, he got hurt on the shoulder and looked in immense pain as he was seen holding it with his hands.

Afridi bowled a delivery to Rassie van der Dussen, to which the batter came down the track and hit it so hard that the pacer had no time to react. He put the hands up and the ball missed them and went on to hit him smack on the collarbone and then ricocheted away to the vacant mid-wicket area.
Afridi looked in terrible pain, but thankfully, it didn’t hit his face. The physios came out running and attended him but the pacer showed great courage and was back on his feet and continued bowling despite being in pain.
